This on-site camp combines positive high energy, reflective
thinking and meaningful dialogue with your students
and staff. Ignite works with your building to
customize the focus and structure of the event and brings
assembly speaker(s), to help deliver this powerful program.
Some schools have chosen to start the year with a
Power of One orientation for their
incoming class. Others have utilized the program as
a mid-year boost, brought in to tear down the walls
and get both students and staff engaged, to see themselves,
and those around them, with a new set of eyes.

Power of One can be used as an entry point into
a new school with the four-day ‘climate camp’.
Day 1:
Ignite kicks off with a school-wide assembly, addressing the issue of student voice, attitude, getting results and making right choices. Student ambassadors are pre-selected for a 6-hour training session. Ignite will train them to be your lead facilitators for the Power of One program.
Day 2-4:
After a few icebreakers, we begin with an assembly by a speaker the likes of Jeremy Johnson. Ignite provides a stirring message that will set the stage for Power of One during the rest of the day. A group from your student body (200 per day max) will rotate through a series of workshops. Each workshop is thought provoking, reflective and related to thier power as an individual in a community. The group comes together for another assembly gathering and closes with a ‘cross the line’ activity.
Many of the Ignite workshops are experiential activities that are led by facilitators but driven by the participants. Ignite recommends that both students and staff attend the day.
For buildings that are already embracing Ignite transitions,
the Power of One has worked as an add-on program
facilitated by the Ignite team and school mentors. The
model can be customized based on the needs of the group to accomodate schedule and number of participants and can even address timely events.
